INAUGURAL “HEART OF GOLD” DISTRICT COOKOFF

Last District Chance to Qualify before 2006 World Championship!!!!

This is our first year for this cook off but by no means are we new to this venue. Your host Jan Ferris ran one of the most successful cook offs in San Diego County during the 80’s, that being the San Marcos Chili Cook Off.

.

We are part and parcel to the Heart Ride which is a motorcycle event with one purpose and that is to raise funds for the American Heart Association, Children’s Hospital and Health Center (Children’s Heart Institute) and other health related charities. Heart Ride is in its ninth year and has raised over a quarter million dollars for these charities.

.

We are very fortunate to be holding our event this year at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. Our event will be held in the infield area and the cooks will be able to drive their vehicle into the cook off site and be able to park and unload your equipment. Along with the Cook Off we will be having a Classic Car and Motorcycle show, Road Kill Rodeo (Safety event) Motorcycle vendor mall, entertainment, vendors, food and great music by the Movers and Shakers and Lots, Lots more.

You can start setting up at 7:30 am on the 30^th. Please contact us A.S.A.P. if you will be cooking in this years event.
