March Into Spring Regional - April 14
.
For those of you that have not heard, the March Into Spring Regional Cook-off has a new date and venue. This cook-off has grown so much, that we had to change locations!
.
The cook-off will take place on Main Street in Mt. Airy, MD on April 14, 2007. If you've been checking your chili calendar, you'll know that this is the first cook-off of the year in the Mid-Atlantic area. Mt. Airy is a great town and the Main Street shops are fabulous! If you are coming from out of town and would like to stay overnight, please check for hotels in Westminster, Frederick, or Germantown, depending on your direction. There are no hotels in Mt. Airy, but all of the above cities are within a 20-30 minute drive of the cook-off site.
.
The first 35 cooks that register and pay in advance will be guarunteed fantastic goody bags, so register early! Cooks parking will be VERY close to the cookoff site, and breakfast will be provided to all cooks. There will also be a buffalo wing eating contest this year.
.
We also have a new chairperson, Barbara Corbalis. Ghon and I will not be cooking this year and I am working with Barbara this year so that I can turn over all duties to her for next year. She is doing a fantastic job - but is new, so bear with her if you have questions! We will have more details finalized over the next month, including fabulous prizes, so stay tuned!
.
Hope to see all our chili friends, new and old, in Mt. Airy on April 14!
