Sad News

Ron Mesker passed away suddenly at his home in Sparks, Nevada, on May 28th. Ron and wife, Sherre, had celebrated his 71st birthday with ICS chili friends over the weekend at Doc and Mary Pierczynski's annual backyard chili cookoff in Carson City. A private memorial service is being planned and will take place in San Diego sometime in July. Condolences can be mailed to their home at 6889 Quintessa Dr, Sparks, Nevada 89436.

WILDFIRE CHILICOOKOFF-CLAUDE COVINGTON

Due to ongoing problems with the Health Dept. and the loss of a Major

Sponsor (Home builder),

the Wildfire Cookoff has been cancelled.

This is a really great venue for a cookoff and I hope they can get it together for next year.

THE LAKE ARIEL FIRE COMPANY IS EXCITED AND PLEASED TO ADD THE LAST MINUTE PERFORMANCE OF THE ROBB TAYLOR BAND AT THE NEPA DISTRICT CHILI COOKOFF AND VEHICLE SHOW IN LAKE ARIEL PA ON SATURDAY JUNE 9TH. ROBB AND HIS BAND WILL DO A CONCERT FOR THE CROWD WHILE THE JUDGES ARE DOING THERE FINAL TALLIES SO COOKS WE WILL ALL BE ENTERTAINED DURING THAT TIME BETWEEN TURN IN AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. TO ALL THE COOKS WHO ARE PLANNING ON COMING BUT HAVENT SIGNED UP PLEASE SIGN UP SO WE CAN GET AN IDEA ON HOW MANY SPOTS WE NEED AND HOW TO ARRANGE THE AREA THANK YOU
