Mexican National Chili Cookoff

Dear Friends and Chili Cooks, Hello from your many friends in Ajijic, Mexico.
We are working hard to the 30th Anniversary of the Mexican National Chili Cookoff which will be (Cocktail 14th) 15,16,17 of Feb/2008 at our new location of Tobolandia. Located on the main highwary (Carr. Chapala-Jocotepec) and is before the corner where you turned to enter our old location. (As they say, a stones throw away)
The costs of the Hotel Real de Chapala are discounted just for us. ($990.00 per night) garden side (I would recommend this side for everyone) (Lake Side is 1,080.00 pesos per night) They have two new pools for your enjoyment and have been doing room upgrades. The peso now is almost 11pesos per dollar, to give you an idea of the dollar costs. Also the lovely Hotel Danza del Sol's 4 person
Suite, is 1,080.00 pesos per night.
If you have any questions please contact me and I will get you the information.
We would be most grateful if you could contact us by the 15th of December to let us know if you are interested in attending our 2008 Cookoff so that we can see if we have enough Cooks to beable to do an ICS Cookoff.
We are very grateful for your years of support. All of you can be very proud of the part you have played in helping so many people during these many years.
On behalf of everyone, we want to wish you a wonderful Holiday Season.
May God Bless and Keep all of you.
Your hosts and friends, Reggie Milroy, Loren Reynolds and Ann Whiting

Help – Accident in California

My son, Curt, was in an accident last Monday, Nov 12., with a train on the Dale Evans Hwy going north to Highway 15.

He was airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center where he is now recovering from multiple broken bones, left ankle, right ankle, right arm. left fingers. several ribs, and many scrapes and bruises. I just left the hospital and he has been transferred to their rehab center after undergoing treatment for bed related pneumonia problems. If anyone is familiar with this poorly controlled train crossing, I would appreciate your input.

Thank you,

Claude Covington
