SILVER STATE REGIONAL

Well, another Silver State Regional has come and gone. The high gas prices kept some cooks away, but we did have a couple from Lancaster, California brave the high prices, and some from Northern Nevada and other parts of CA and NV. As always Phil Morosky came out to support us, he always does a great job helping with anything and everything in the judging area. We can always count on Phil to be there for us. And a great big thanks go out to Edi and Ormly and the Lake Havasu judges for once again driving all this way to judge for us. You guys are the greatest and we appreciate all you do. This year it was above and beyond the call of duty, as it was almost 100 degrees at the park. Thank goodness we were on grass, which does help some, but we were all feeling the heat before the day was over. Now for the lucky winners:

SWALLOWS INN Regional

ONCE AGAIN, THE CHILI COOKS CAME BACK TO CAPISTRANO, JUST LIKE THE SWALLOWS

AS EXPECTED, WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL WARM DAY IN THE MID 80'S BY 3:30PM JUDGING OF THE RED

VERY LARGE SPECTATOR TURN OUT AND EVERYONE HAD A GREAT TIME, DANCING TO THREE SEPARATE SPECTACULAR BANDS.

I PERSONALLY WANT TO THANK KATHY STEWART OUR CHIEF SCOREKEEPER AND HER ASSISTANT MIKE WHO DID A GREAT JOB. IN ADDITION, MIKE "UGLEE" AUSTIN AND STEVE PORTER FOR THEIR HELP ON STAGE.
