South Side Shuffle
District Cookoff
May 17, 2009
.
The South Side Bar & Grill was the setting for the first annual chili cookoff, presented by "Aldo" Klinghammer.
"Aldo" had selected the Christian County Senior Citizens has the Charity for the event. Several hundreds of dollars was raised for this event.
The cookoff was held behind "Aldo's" South Side Shuffle Bar & Grill on about 3 acres of grass and shade. This was a very nice and relaxing set up following the Prairie Trail Regional on Sat. in
Weather turned out to be very nice with light wind, sunny and 68 degrees.
All of the cooks were treated to FREE biscuits, gravy, sausage, and fried potatoes on arrival.
Everyone claimed that this was a very fun, relaxing, nice cookoff. ALL said they would be back next year.
Since "Aldo" did get 21 chili cooks for his first District, this will become a Regional for 2010.
Mark your calendars for this extremely fun event.
