Heartland Regional Chili Cookoff.

What started as a typical hot humid August day at the Decatur Celebration ended up again with showers - after turn-in this time -but it didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the cooks. Sponsored this year by Chilli Man Chili and WICS TV Channel 20, we again saw good crowds - at least until the rains came. The winners were:

Diane Lentz surgery report

Got off the phone tonight with Diane. She's doing GREAT. Great spirits and she said she came out of the anesthesia very gently. No bad effects. Family is with her. Looks like she will come home tomorrow (Saturday, 4 Aug). Please keep her and her family in prayer. Still a long way to go. God is watching over her.
