VERMONT STATE RESULTS
After a stormy night in Vermont, the day started gloomy, but the cooks didn't care, because by the time they set up, the sun was coming out and the day was shaping up beautifully. The Vermont State Chili Cookoff was held in conjunction with the Arlington Fire Co. #1 Carnival, so we decided this year to have the turn-ins later in the day so the carnival goers can enjoy the chili. This seemed to work out, as we had more spectators Saturday than we have in the past. Jamie (the fire chief) and his crew did a great job helping all the cooks set up and getting the judging area ready, in spite of their being up all night on a fire call. One of the highlights is the beautiful framed trophies that are made by master cabinet maker, Jamie Paustian, also the chairman of the cookoff. The cooks enjoyed the beautiful setting and the weather and the happy winners were:

Hello cooks... as of today I have 16 signed up and at least 12 coming but not signed up yet.   Looks like a great event coming up.   Working hard to make it a Family Fun Day in our community.   You're the main attraction and some of you are planning some great booths.   We appreciate that.   Special thanks to Mad Mike for helping out.   Also Steve and Audrey for judging.   The band is The Help Wanted Band (same as last year).   Fire and Iron motorcycle group is coming, DJ, moonwalks, vendors and our (Kiwanis) food b ooth.   My last prayer is for the weather and I'm working on that.   Any way I can help you out just ask.
 Thanks..... Bruce.
P.s.   I'm still learning this computer stuff so bear with me!!!!!!!!!!
