WESTERN REGIONAL CHILI COOKOFF

This cookoff is only two weeks away. There is still time

for you to register to cook. You can go on line to register, or

mail me your application with a check to still qualify for

the STAINLESS STEEL MEASURING SPOON SET, or call me

at 909-3224510. I need to hear from you soon so that I

have time to mail you back your parking pass.

Canada's Capital Regional Chili Cookoff

.

August 22 is the date for the first ever ICS cookoff in Ottawa, Ontario. It will feature Red, Verde and Salsa. Please also note that City Health regulations require that salsa be prepared on site. Herb and Spice Shop  will be providing a variety of produce for our very special Cast Iron Chef Salsa competition but be sure to bring your special secret ingredients. e-mail me: chilidog@windsor.igs.net for more information.

It'll be a part of the SuperEx, a State Fair type of agricultural fair. There will be a load of things to do beside cook chili. It's a good one to bring the kids to.

Ottawa is the kind of place where you might want to take an extended weekend. There are some pretty good room prices to be found on Hotwire or Priceline. The downtown ones are pretty close to the SuperEx.

You'll be able to park right outside the building...easy in & out. The cookoff is indoors and the Fire Department is saying no to propane stoves. We are still trying to get them to relent on that. For now, you have to use your naphtha gas units. There is a form you need to submit to the Health Department. It's already filled except for your own information. Go HERE, then send it HERE. This a brand new cookoff. The people in Ottawa are enthusiastic about your attendance. Their hope (and mine) is that this would grow into a doubleheader.
