With the current information provided by ICS, we can now book the golf tourney again on Friday morning, if there is enough interest. Anyone cooking Last chance who wants to play will be on the first teams to go out.

If you're putting off qualifying till the last minute, can't seem to get past 2nd or 3rd Place, or just want to come out and cook in hopes of qualifying and having fun, then consider registering for the 9th Annual Town of Superior Regional Cookoff on September 12th, at Community Park in Superior, Colorado (near Boulder). With great views of the foothills of Boulder County in the background, this year's event is going to be even bigger than last years'. Bob Plager will serve as Chief Judge, and Kathy Plager as Chief Scorekeeper. All proceeds benefit the Fallen Firefighters Fund.

Entry fees are waived if you bring out 2 gallons of "sampling chili" - any type - to pass out to the public for tasting. If you are not currently an ICS member, the Town of Superior will pay your $50 membership fee for 1 year. Late turn in times.

Prize money is as follows:

Red Chili - 1st Place $400, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100

Chili Verde - 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $150, 3rd Place $100

Salsa - 1st Place $100, 2nd Place $75, 3rd Place $50

First Place winners will be qualified for the

2009 World's Championship in Charleston, West Virginia.
