Wachusett Mountain Regional

It's back! The Wachusett Mountain Regional in Princeton, MA will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2009. A new day and event for this year. The cook-off will be held at the ski resort in conjunction with the Wachusett Mountain Music Fest featuring 6 bands, a "Fest-of-Ale" competition featuring local, micro-breweries, a car and motorcycle show along with crafters and other vendors. Hmmm....chili, music, beer, cars and motorcycles....what's not to like?

It's a "red chili only" event this year, with NO entry fee. $500, $200 and $100 are the prizes. (All three categories are on tap for next year.) Because of the huge turn-out for the Music Fest, people's choice is urgently needed, so please put your waived $25 entry fee into your People's Choice Chili.
 .
A long-time cook, Lee Wood is the chairman of this event and he ALWAYS puts on an incredible event. The folks at Wachusett are very generous and many other prizes will be awarded.....P.C., booth/showmanship and other categories.

This is a "cooks cook-off". Lee and the Wachusett Mountain family take seriously good care of the cooks. A link to the cook-off should be up on the ICS website shortly.

NEW MEXICO Back 2 Backs

.

The New Mexico Back to Backs are filling up with cooks.  Currently, for Saturday, we have 15 reds, 7 verdes and 11 salsas.  On Sunday, we have 17 reds, 7 verdes and 7 salsas.  Everything has enough to qualify, but, of course, we'd like more!  Hope to see you at the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque this weekend for a great time!
