Laurel Park District

.

The day in Laurel Maryland started off foggy and cold. But the horse racing was hot and the chili competition was hotter. Just like last year we cooked along the rail of the race track. The sun came out and the temperature rose. Fred Bell ran the Judging and Phoebe Hayes put together another outstanding event. So here are your winners.

CALIFORNIA STATE

.

The 37th Annual California State Chili Championship and the 6th Annual Inland Empire Menudo Championship

May 1st 2010 at the National Orange Fair Grounds

Sponsored by El Pato Brand Chili Sauces, Dolores Chili Brick, O'Leary's Irish Pub in Rialto and The Friends of San Bernardino City Parks Inc.

The La Quinta Inns and Suites is offering a room rate of $59.00 just mention the Chili Cookoff. They are located close to 18 major restaurants (walking distance). And close to the CookOff.

Because of the large crowds that we get. I am asking the Chili Cooks to PLEASE bring extra People's Choice. I know it's a pain, but if we don't have chili, We can't sell tasting kits. Thank You in advance for your help and consideration. Also there is prize money for People's Choice. The Health Dept. will be there again, so please remember to bring your three tubs and sanitation stuff. Thanks.

Thanks Again
