Route 66 Regional

The 25th Annual Silver Anniversary Route 66 Regional has contracted with 2 hotels in Flagstaff for rooms. We have 5 king bed rooms at the Fairfield Inn with a rate of $99.00 plus tax. The rooms are under the name Whitney. The cut off date for these rooms is June 3, 2008. We also have 15 double queen rooms at the Holiday Inn Express for $98.00 plus tax. Their cut off date is May 30, 2008. It will also be rodeo weekend in town, so book early for this years special anniversary event.

Avi-Laughlin Back-to-Back Regionals

The weather for the Avi-Laughlin Back-to-Back Regionals this upcoming weekend has now been updated to mid to high 80's! Dress light and prepare for a warm and wonderful weekend cooking next to the river! The cooking site has been confirmed as "on the peninsula," which is close to the water, near the boatramp -- a perfect location for upper 80's weather! See you all there!

March Into Spring Chili Cook off

Cooks, we have increased our first prize to $500! This is the last week to
enter this event. The Cook off is Saturday April 12th.
The Mount Airy Main Street Association has also acquired a permit for a Beer

Springtacular Chili Cookoff.

It will be held at the Eagles Lodge, Clinton, Illinois on Saturday May 24th.

I will be getting fliers out the first of next week. I would like to invite all chili cooks to come for a good time and enjoy the day with us. Cooking will be on the parking lot at the Eagles, bring tents, tables and chairs.
