ATTENTION - COOKOFF CHAIRPERSONS

We are now getting close to the ICS WORLD'S CHAMPIONSHIPS, be sure to send in the Complete Results of your Chili Cookoff to Vickie at ICS Headquarters by Monday evening after the weekend contest. Vickie only has a short amount of time to get the ICS Entrant Packets out to the Contest Winners in each divisions prior to the World's Championships.

CHILI COOKOFF WINNERS - Be sure that you remind the Chairperson to send in the Results A.S.A.P.

Regional Cookoff in Superior, Colorado

Saturday, September 13th

With the World's Championship just around the corner, now is the time to register for the Town of Superior Regional Cookoff on September 13th at Community Park (near Boulder). With a great view of the foothills of Boulder County in the background, this year's event is sure to be a blast. Bob Plager will serve as Chief Judge. Two live bands will play over the course of the afternoon--local favorite Hazel Miller and Sugar Daddy. All proceeds benefit the Fallen Firefighters Fund.

Entry fees waived if you bring out 2 gallons of People's Choice Chili or Salsa. Late turn in times.

Prize money is as follows:

Red - $400, $200, $100

Verde - $200, $150, $100

Salsa - $100, $75, $50

Calling all Chili Cooks!

Think you have a Great pot of Chili?!

.

We are looking for Chili Cooks to compete in the upcoming Great Lakes Regional Chili Cook-off in downtown Plymouth, MI. The winners will take home $2000 in prize money, and/or a great big chili pepper trophy and the chance to compete in the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CHILI COOKOFF put on by the International Chili Society. The World Champ wins $25,000!!!! This year's chili contest is on Sunday October 5th in downtown Plymouth from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Along with the traditional Red Chili competition there is a Chili Verde contest (Green Chili) and a Salsa contest. A Best Booth contest and Peoples Choice winners will also be awarded prizes.

.

Just want to come and sample chili? Over 60 different chili's' will be available beginning at 12:00 noon for a donation of $1.00 per sample.

.

All the area restaurants will get in with the excitement at the "Restaurant Chili Challenge". They will be serving up their best chili and compete to be the best restaurant chili in the land. Fifteen restaurants will be competing for this years' award. Past winning restaurants include The Omelette and Waffle Cafe (Yes, they serve chili too!!) Station 885, Boulders Restaurant, Plymouth Pub, Doyle's Tavern, & Plymouth Crossing Bowls of chili available for a donation of $4 per bowl or $1 a sample from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

All money raised during this event goes to charity! This year the recipients will be Habitat for Humanity and The Plymouth Lions Club.

A Hot time in the old town tonight!! A motorcycle Bike Show and a Chili Ride are also planned by MotorCity Harley Davidson and BMW Motorcycles of SE MI. Lot's of great people watching and great chili eating on a perfect Fall Sunday!
