Tri State Regional & AVI Regional

A very special Thank you to Louise Dinneweth for covering for me on very short notice. I'm back from Alabama and can't give you a lot about the two cookoff at AVI as I wasn't there. I hear that Louise and Val Gereghty did a great job. I'm also sure that Susie put together terrific events and pitched in wherever needed, Jim Maehl was his usual efficient Chief Judge, Ron Burt and Bob Dinneweth were working everywhere and Willma Maehl was a staple in the judging area (she even did the dishes before I got back to town). I never worried about these events as the caliber of the team is such that there was no need for concern and someone always steps in where needed. I thank you all for allowing me the freedom to spend the time with my family as should be.

ALL-OHIO Regional Chili Cookoff

Just wanted to get the preliminary word out so that all can start planning a visit to Cincinnati once again! Just got the approval for the "Return of the ALL-OHIO Regional Chili Cookoff" for the Greater Cincinnati Fire Museum on September 12th, 2009! I have attached the preliminary information and a photo of the proposed First Place Trophy!
.
Hope to see everyone here, and look forward to bringing a cookoff back to Cincinnati. Everyone will be competing for the very first "Cincy Inferno" or whatever the committee decides for the official name of the trophy, but it is a pretty impressive piece of artwork!
.
Will get more details out soon, but here is the basics for now!
.
E-ya later,
