MONDAY - June 1, 2009
It was one of the top 10 best days as far as the weather went. That was great, because it was one of the best cookoffs
.
The only sad note to the day was that we could not attend the funeral of our dear friend and fellow chili cook, Dick "Doc" Dowling of Doctor's Choice Chili. We know he would have not wanted us to skip the cookoff and we know he was with us in spirit. He and his companion, Yvonne, were regular competitors at NJ State. Dick will forever be in our hearts.
