MONDAY - June 25, 2007

Alberta Championship and Western Canadian Championship

BACK TO BACK REGIONALS
Still looking to qualify? - Come on up north - we'd love to see you at our cookoffs on July 21 and 22 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The good news is that the United States Homeland Security has decided to delay the need for US citizens to carry a passport for re-entry into the United States.

We have been working hard to plan a really good set of cookoffs, but so far we have only heard from two new local cooks and two local long time cooks about their participation. We really need to hear from more of you to make these cookoffs a go.

There will be a cooks party at our house on Friday night from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with some pulled pork, beef brisket, chicken, etc.

Please contact us:

Tropic is such a great place to visit... on the rim of Bryce Canyon... absolutely beautiful. We missed several of our regular cooks this year and want to thank Mary Hagger, Sarah Whitney and Jodi Wiseman for jumping in to make 7 contestants for each event... And a special thanks to Debra Turner for calling in her family to cook (and place) in all events. In hopes of keeping this one alive. Watch these people, they were in Laughlin, Bullhead City and Minden and have a true chilihead spirit and are learning rapidly.
