Kicks Route 66 Chili Cook-Off
To Benefit Brother James Court
  .
Kicks Family Entertainment Center, Springfield, IL started their 4 day event "Kick's Route 66 Summer Sizzle" this past weekend. The community support was overwhelming along with 20 red, 11 verde and 9 salsa cooks, 27 cooks total. Local band Daddy's Money provided music for the afternoon, which was sunny and in the mid 80's.  Many spectators were on hand to vote for their favorites, which was a special "People's Favorite" award. Joe Regan of Springfield was voted favorite "Red", Linda Carroll of Taylorville "Salsa" and Dave Schmitt of Springfield "Verde". We are still pulling all the figures together, are confident we will be presenting Brother James Court with almost $5,000.
