Fire & Spice New Hampshire Regional Chili Cookoff
The Fire & Spice NH Regional Chili Cookoff is fast approaching and plans are rolling along.  Reg istrations are pouring in and we are expecting a LARGE turnout.  As an Inaugural event, we have taken big strides in making this event successful.  A major radio station in the New England area has partnered with us for the tenure of this cookoff and with that means bigger names on our stage, more prizes and a tremendously enjoyable atmosphere to compete in.  If you are thinking of attending, please register soon so we can reserve your space.  Hotel deals are being negotiated as we speak, and the Lakes Region is a beautiful place to visit.  So, come try us out and show your support for a brand new, and very exciting, Regional Chili Cookoff.  You won't be disappointed.
 .
We look forward to seeing you.

Latest development at Western Regional at DelMar. There will be a Micro Brew competition going on in the Pavilian next to us in the infield. Since a lot of our usual red chili cooks have qualified, we are increasing the prize money for Peoples' Choice to $250 1st place.

It will be greatly appreciated if any of you choose to cook. Verde cooks, please bring people's choice chili. We will have plenty of extra red chili on hand to add to your pots.

It's very important that I receive your applications for Red, Green or Salsa so that I can get your necessary passes out to you.

MORE COOKS CORNERS
Now that I am sufficiently rested from this past weekend, I would like to add to the blurb I put out about Cook's Corner's and say a special thank you to Carol & Dave Hancock for coming to the cookoff and for breaking the tie we had for second place on the red chili table. It was nice to see them both.
Don Hammes would like to give a great big thank you to Rhonda (Manager of Cooks Corner) for all her special support and help in making this a SUPER GREAT CHILI COOKOFF for the Cooks. Also to Thank ALL the Cooks and Judges that drove a great distance to support this event, THANKS
Also for those of you who don't know, Marge is my older Sister. I assume everyone knows her since she has been around from the beginning. She is my only sibling. She shows up at a chili cookoff every so often.

COOK'S CORNER'S REGIONAL

June 27th, 2009

.

This was the 3rd year for the Cook's Corner's Regional, and it was once again a successful cookoff. The cooking area is not easy to get into, but the cooks were patient about it and waited their turn. Cook's Corner's is a biker bar in Trabuco Canyon and it draws a lot of bikers and non-bikers alike and they all love chili. We had a lot of people come out to help with the judging, including Dick and Nancy Swenberger from Arizona, also the Beaty's drove from Bakersfield. We really appreciate everyone coming out for this cookoff. A big thank you to Nancy Swenberger, Sylvia Steinberg and my Sister Marge for all their help with the Scorekeeping, and everyone else who helped with the tables. Also, the weather was quite warm, (about 90 degrees.) It was the warmest day yet in CA this month. Now for the important stuff.
