THURSDAY - March 1, 2007

ARIZONA BACK 2 BACK'S - by Erin Heasley
Message to the cooks and to find out the ones that are traveling. Ask if tables are needed for them to cook on. Will will need to know by Sat March 3rd so I can order the correct amount needed. There will be a $6 rental fee. Also can you add a word of encouragement to please bring 2 gallons of peoples choice chili. We would like to have a successful event for the cooks and for the retailers sponsoring the event. In the past they have run out quickly and without chili the public won't come and with out the public our DONATION to the VFW dwindles quickly. We want everyone to be happy and enjoy our cook off and fun. The retailers don't gain any $$$ from this event it's quite the opposite. What we gain is the publics notice of our businesses and the chance to help out a non-profit organization. There are local grocery stores within a mile or two of the event just to let the cooks know, if that helps them! Once again thank you to all the cooks. Lets make some CHILI!!!!!!

Big Juan - by Sue & Bill Dudzik

I just want to know who IS NOT making the proper sacrifices to the tequila gods ???!!!!!!
Big Juan has had another set back. Seems he needed to have some fluids removed - about 12 lbs worth - on Monday. ( Juan was drinking all the tequila??) He now has a nice room - with some hot nurses - in ICU at Clarkson. He said the he is looking for the "future Mrs. Bulla".
He will be having surgery on Thursday -- noonish. Seems they would like to repair a leaking valve and a triple to quadruple bypass. You knew it wouldn't be easy !!
So !! You all know what to do !! Drink the tequila !! Light a candle !! And - please keep Juan and "Juanita" in your prayers !!

Success! Southwest Airlines has changed their website to definitively accept propane stoves on their aircraft. Print it out and carry it, in case a gate agent/TSA gives you problems.
