Hudson Valley Regional Cookoff Results

The fall season is upon us and along with the beautiful colors nature gives us; there is definitely a chill in the air. That really held true for the Hudson Valley Regional Chili Cookoff held on Saturday, October 14 at Woodstock Harley-Davidson in Kingston, NY. As we drove to the cookoff, the temps were in the low 30s, but the sun soon came out and warmed us up. The cool temps sure didn’t keep the hundreds of motorcycles away either. These bikers love this cookoff. We had a great turn out of the cooks also, as well as 3 rookies. Thanks to all the cooks who come out to support us at this cookoff each year.

The winners:

.

Salsa: 17 entries

3 way tie for 3rd: Bob Myers, NY

Mike Freedman, CT

Kim Eckley, MD

2nd place – Mike Kropp, NH

1st place – Scott Navaroli, CT

1st place – Jonathan Everin, NY

.

Radio broadcast about ICS World’s Championships info .

Received a call from Martin Wells the gentleman who was recording cooks for the Only A Game radio program. The program played on October 14th, but you can go to their web site www.onlyagame.org to look at the photos and heard the interviews. When you click on the button for listening to the program, it starts off with sports news, but you can fast forward about 2/3 through the broadcast (at about 39.44 on the time counter) and the chili news starts.
