Lost Sun Glasses

.

On Sunday at the World Championship, I accidently left my magnetic clip on sunglasses on the Swenberger's table. They are specifically made for my prescription glasses, with a dark rose colored oblong metal frame. Nancy remembers them at the table and someone picked them up. If you accidentally picked them up, PLEASE return them. I will gladly pay any postage costs since they will be expensive to replace.

Chili for our Troops III

Dear Chili Cooks,

As some of you may know, we put together a chili cookoff for our deployed troops in Iraq! We dubbed it, "Chili for our Troops III" as it was the 3rd one we cooked up with Soldiers Angels (http://www.soldiersangels.org/). ICS cooks donated spices, gifts, recipes, canned goods and some very kind words to our deployed troops.

.

In my haste and stage shyness, I inadvertantly did not mention Norm and Bobbie Gaul. They were a very important part of this event and I couldn't have done this without their support! The other ICS cooks were: Bonnie and Mike Ford, Jim Stoddard, Richard Chauvin (from Canada),Jean and Jerry Simmons, Cindy Reed and Bruce Wilkins, Ray Barry, Dave Thomas, Jim Parker, Marilee and Joe Barrett, Red Brecke, Doug Roy, Rick LaFrance, Kurt Leithner, Bob Poston, Karl Smith, Scott Navaroli, David and Kimberly Mallory, Vickie and Bob Marnick, and Carol Hancock.

.

Now for the winners:

1st Place XXX Chili 1434th Engineer Co. sponsored by Rick LaFrance and Kurt Leithner

2nd Place 101st FSC sponsored by Cindy Reed and Bruce Wilkins and Doug Roy

3rd Place Junior Enlisted HHC 225th En BDE sponsored by Carol Hancock and Dave Thomas

The winners information took a little longer to get back to me as the troops that participated were from all over Iraq and they may have been busy.

Needless to say, we brightened our troops day even if it was just for a little bit. I think I speak for all of the cooks that were a part of this when I say that this was an honor to do.

.

If anyone is interested in participating in "Chili for our Troops IV", please contact me at madmike@chilict.com and I will be happy to add your name to our list.
