The Main Street Heat Regional

March 27, 2010

The Main Street Heat Regional cook off in Mt Airy Maryland is fast approaching. The county Health dept is a little funny about having everyone registered 2 weeks before the cook off. That means the forms are due by March 13th. If you are even considering going to the cook off please contact the people running the event so they can get the forms out to you. Other than that Mt Airy is a small suburb between Washington D.C. and Baltimore. There are very comfortable accommodations nearby. Also for you foodies and wine experts, there are several fantastic restaurants and vineyards nearby also. For you fans of Top Chef the winner's Restaurant VOLT is less than 25 minutes away. If you have any questions about the cook off or the area feel free to contact me. This cook off is well run and grows in size every year. This year the coordinators have secured the entire fireman's carnival grounds and cooks will be cooking under pavilions. The Falkowskis will be handling the Judging and Scorekeeping I hope to see you out there.

Thanks for your time

May 1, 2010 is the date for the New England Regional Chili Cook Off. This ICS Regional Cook Off was huge last year! We are expecting to have a BIG Jim Heywood Youth Division! This cook off will be killer!

SIX (6) CHANCES TO QUALIFY!!!

.

Come cook in the Back to Back AZ Copperstate Regional and AZ Valley of the Sun Regional cookoffs on March 13th and 14th in our lovely Ahwatukee Park. We will again have security on site Saturday night so cooks can leave their tents and belongings instead of packing it all up and setting up again. Entry fees are $35 for Red, $30 for Green, and $15 for Salsa. In addition, 1 gallon of People's Choice is required. If you need tables, chairs or canopies they are available for rent. A table plus 2 chairs is $10 and a canopy is $15 for a two-day rental.

.

Our host hotel is Extended Stay America (1.22 miles from our location). Only a couple of rooms are still available for $64.99 per night. (This is a 1 bedroom queen suite with a kitchen and full refrigerator.) This is a terrific deal for Phoenix in peak season. Their address is 14245 S. 50th St., Phoenix, AZ 85044 and phone number is 480-785-0464. Ask for Milijana.

.

We look forward to having you and having a very successful cookoff.

The 2nd Annual RI State ICS Chili Cook Off is officially now in the books.
