California State Chili Championship
I just got my computer back from Best Buy, they did not retrieve my local folders, like I had asked. So, I lost all the entry forms for California State, that the Chili Cooks have been so gracious to send in early. I would like them to resend them to me.
Sorry for any trouble this might cause.
Thanks

Carson Valley 15th Annual

The Fifteenth Annual Carson Valley Chili Cookoff & Craft Fair sponsored by the Carson Valley Sertoma Club will be a two day back-to-back Regional event on Saturday & Sunday, April 28 & 29, 2007 at the Carson Valley Inn (CVI) located on US 395 in Minden, Nevada, about 14 miles south of Carson City. There will be six winners going directly to the world and this event keeps growing each year.
.
The CVI has blocked a limited number of rooms & RV spaces at reduced rates. Reservations can be made at 1-800-321-6983, Ext 1. Be sure to mention Group # 500846. Rates, including tax, are as follows:
.
Motor Lodge - 25 rooms - $75.90 (Fri & Sat) - $60.50 (Sun)
.
RV Resort - 23 spaces - $21.78 (30 amp) - $24.75 (50amp)
.
Both the Motor Inn & the RV Resort are adjacent to the cookoff site. The CVI Casino & Hotel is within walking distance and boasts two excellent restaurants.
.
This year we are indeed fortunate to have Dave & Kathy Hipskind as Chief Judge & Scorekeeper.
.
The cookoff site is a gravel parking lot which is completely fenced and provides security Friday & Saturday in that we lock the two gates overnight. There will be limited vehicle parking (no RVs) for cooks during the day.
.
In order to plan ahead, please sign up on the ICS web or contact me at (775)-266-3468 or fritz@GBIS.com.
